Our 75th Anniversary is almost here. I, for one, am very excited to be celebrating this occasion. It is an awesome time seeing the body of Christ come together and fellowship, celebrating what God has done over the years. I announced earlier that our theme is celebrating the “Past, Present, and Future” of WEBC, and I think that is so appropriate. Being so excited in seeing God’s work here in the ministries we are providing in this community makes me wish that I could be here to help with the next 75 years! But the last time someone lived this side of glory 127 years old, well…that would really be a miracle! That being said, there is nothing that would keep me away from this wonderful celebration, and my prayer is that every member of our church feels the same way. That’s not the time to go on vacation, or head to any other event. Nothing should keep us from this celebration, just like nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:39)! For that reason I am giving God all the glory (1 Corinthians 10:31) this day and for the years to come. I am looking forward to seeing what He is going to do, and how He is going to do it. Soon, as most of you know, we will have portraits made of our church membership and published in a hardback book, and they should be ready to distribute by Christmas! We have a couple of other surprises popping up for this occasion, so let’s make it the best celebration we can by coming together in a spirit…the Spirit, of unity and supernaturally loving one another for the great things God has done over the years… and in anticipation of what He will in the years to come. My prayer is that people continue getting saved, that WEBC continues impacting this community, and that by the supernatural power of God His Spirit of unity, grace, mercy, and love will continue to define this body of believers. It is my pleasure to serve you as your pastor, and I will continue praying for the Father’s leadership and guidance as we continue moving in His direction.
