He's Got You

It may seem like we had had enough rest being cooped up by the Covid-19 virus, but Jesus has a better rest for us. It is not forced, it is invitational. We often decide how we are going to rest when rest is needed, some take a nap, some grab a pack of nabs, some may sit in the shade, some lay on the couch…well, you get the gist of what I am saying. Yet our rest will never be as restful as our rest in Jesus Christ. He invites us, and then gives us the recipe to experience that rest. Resting in Him is setting our opinions aside, and living by His standards for our lives. It is at the point of our obedience and submission that we can truly experience His rest because at that point, His yoke becomes easy. It us when Christ needs to change our path that the yoke becomes burdensome.

I know in the midst of this changing world, that you may be struggling in so many different ways. Perhaps you could take this time to draw nearer to Him and gain the divine wisdom He has promised you for times such as this. As I said yesterday, “He’s got you.”
